Where is Poochie Parlour?
Poochie Parlour's address is 44 Arbury Court, Alexwood Road, Cambridge, CB4 2JQ. It is located in Arbury court which is located opposite the Manor Community College, you can view our map by clicking HERE
There is a carpark, right near budgens which is also in Arbury Court so parking is available.
Why does a dog need grooming
Grooming is essential for a variety of reasons including, healthy skin, cleanliness, good health, less behavioural issues as your dog feels more comfortable. Good groomers will examine your dogs for a general health check and will point out any issues that need attention.

Is there a breed of dog that you can't groom?
Poochie Parlour are qualified to groom any breed of dog, of any size, we are happy to do giant breeds too
Do you groom show dogs?
Unfortunately Poochie Parlour only choose to groom pet dogs and working dogs, it is recommended that show dogs are taken to breed specialists.
How much does it cost to get my dog groomed at Poochie Parlour?
The price of the grooming service is charged according to the breed, size and service required, as every dog is different it's best to bring your dog in if you have a query regarding cost.
How long does the grooming process take?
On average we allow 2.5 hours to groom your pet, this of course depends on if it’s a full groom or simply a brush out, it also depends on the size of dog and service required.
Can I stay with my dog, during the grooming service?
Yes, we welcome you to stay with your dog if it is nervous. Many people prefer to leave their pet in our company, as some dogs are more excitable when owners are present
Do I require an appointment for all services?
No, there are some services that don’t require a booking, these are nail clipping and ear cleaning. It is also possible to do a brush out or to bathe a dog without an appointment depending on availability, though this of course wouldn't be possible during our busy periods.
Do short coat dogs require grooming?
Short coated dogs benefit from being groomed, as we are able to remove its dead coat and help eliminate moulting. It is also essential that their nails are clipped and their ears are cleaned, they will also benefit from a general health check.
At what age should I start bringing my dog to be groomed?
The earlier the better, even if its just to bathe or brush your dog out as this helps them get used to the environment and atmosphere, this helps them settle into a routine which causes less stress for the future

Does Poochie Parlour attend dog events, such as dog shows?
Yes, we at Poochie parlour are happy to attend companion dog shows, to offer grooming or have a retail store, we sometimes attend these events for our own dogs pleasure.
Can I come to Poochie Parlour for general advice?
Yes we are happy to give you advice, on a number of your concerns of pets needs.
Does Poochie Parlour only groom dogs?
Poochie Parlour are happy to groom other pets including rabbits and guinea pigs
